About Clairvaux Football Club

Clairvaux welcomes male, female and junior players

Clairvaux Football Club formed in 1967 and is widely regarded as a true "community club", with many administrative and coaching roles held by current and past players.

The club operates out of Clairvaux MacKillop College on Klump Road in Upper Mt Gravatt, Brisbane.

We field teams ranging from junior under 6's through to senior men’s and women’s teams competing in the Football Brisbane Capital & City League Competitions. With more than 80 players aged 35+ registered at the club, Clairvaux FC also fields 4 x mens Over 35 teams competing in the Queensland Masters Competition.

In 2016 we established our Squirts program designed for 3 - 5 year olds (male and female) to have fun while learning football skills which the club provides free of charge. Sessions are typically held every second Sunday morning which are run by our senior players and coaches with up to 50 aspring Matilda's and Socceroo's attending each session.

The club also participates in the bi-annual Pan Pacific Masters Games held on the Gold Coast with both our ladies and mens teams consistently reaching the finals. In 2018 our Over 45 mens team affectionately known as Rigormortis Old Boys won the Gold medal going through the tournament undefeated.

In 2012 Clairvaux FC launched their annual 5 Aside competition and every year this continues to grow with over 300 players (male and female) from all over Brisbane playing in the tournament.

We embrace and practice a fair play policy and we foster player and coaching development wherever possible. We especially encourage the participation of female junior and senior players at our club and field two female senior teams at the club.

We are also extremely proud that a number of our senior and junior players are also qualified referees officiating at local, state and national level giving back to the football community.

In 2018 with the support of our major club sponsors -  Spot Digital Productions & Click Village Lighting, the club will look to establish a program that will be used to assist more people to get involved in the game at both junior and senior level as well as assisting the further development of of players, coaches, managers and administrators.

The club is not only proactive about getting children physically and mentally active, we also encourage good nutrition and in 2017 we introduced a healthy eating program where the club provided fresh fruit free of charge to all junior players at every home game.

Our playing fields continue to undergo further development with the installation of a new drainage system and LED lighting being installed on the top oval in 2016 and new granstands were installed in January 2018.

After receiving Qld State Government funding in December 2018, the top field will be returfed at the completion of the 2019 season. An application for Brisbane City Council Funding via their Building Stronger Communities Grant will be submitted in February 2019 to assist with the upgrade of the lighting on the bottom field to allow the club to play additional night games.

Our junior fields have expanded from 3 to 7 fields in the space of 2 years as we continue to grow our junior base and discussions are underway with the College to make further improvements to these fields with new turf and lighting on the agenda for the 2019/2020 season.

Vaux Radio was also launched in November 2017 where interviews with players, coaches, committee members and club supporters as well as match broadcasts can all be heard on a podcast and in 2019 we will be launching Foxes TV where senior games will be streamed online.

In January 2018 the club launched its new logo and introduced its new club mascot - Fang the Fox.
