Clairvaux welcomes male, female and junior players

Clairvaux FC Covid19 Update

Posted 12:00am, Thursday 7 May 2020

Hello to all players, families, and club supporters,

Our club committee has been meeting regularly as well as liaising with our governing bodies in Football Brisbane and Football Queensland to assess the COVID19 situation and its impacts on our club.

Our priority, as always, is the health and wellbeing of our players, their families, and more broadly our local community. The aim of our committee is to slowly reintroduce club operations in a cautious and methodical manner in the months that lie ahead. However, we will only progress this plan if endorsed by the latest Qld Health advice, and if and when, sanctioned by our host organisations.

Prior to any resumption our committee will also need to be assured that resuming club operations is in the best interests of our club members and adequate risk mitigation is in place. This will include agreed operational and hygiene protocols to minimise potential impacts of COVID19.

We are currently working with Football Brisbane on a range of scenarios for the 2020 season that include extending the season, compressing our competitions, and modifying our completion format. Our committee also understands the impact that this will have on our players and families and are committed to working through these issues once there is some certainty around formats and timeframes.

We also understand the financial impact that COVID19 is having on families and pride ourselves in striving to be both inclusive and family friendly. If your family has been significantly impacted or know of a club member who has, please let our committee know and we would use our club networks to see what support our club may be able to provide at this time.
